Now that my running is restricted, I have started doing more bicycling. As long as I am going distances, I checked into support software and found 2 that seemed pretty good: BikeRouteToaster and MapMyRide. The first doesn't require logging in unless you want to save your maps, and does give elevation information. The second does require making an account, but also has a free iphone app for support, along with elevation, calorie counting, social media support, and lots of other useless features. These are all routes that I have done at least once. For the most part they avoid heavily traveled roads, though that is not always possible. |
